Product Design

For my first year project we had to design and make a product of our own making, I chose to work with making a dog tracking device.

I used CAD software called Rhino to make a 3D represenations of my design, from these I then made a set of 2D drawings to work from.

I created from 3D rendered images to create more reference images during the making process. At the top is the attachment that would be hooked onto the dog collers which would act not only also at the tracker but also a light when walking at night, and the handheld device at the bottom which can be attached to the owners key chain.

I used chemiwood sanded into shape for the main body, and heat bent stryreme for the cover.

This is the final prototype of my dog tracker design.
